Eric the sheep

Handsome Eric was saved from slaughter in April 2018, and continues to live out his happy days with his family at the Surge Sanctuary. Now four years old, Eric is still the cheeky little lamb he once was, although now pulls some questionable facial expressions! He can be quite a moody boy, but still appreciates scratches, cuddles and kisses, of course!

Not particularly fond of his other sheep companions, Eric actually has a sweet spot for the pigs! Wherever they are, Eric is most likely not far behind, he even chooses to sleep in their bed at night.

Over the winter, Eric has been having endless breakfasts in bed munching on the sweet crunchy hay. He enjoys making sure the hay is all for himself (Eric is not one for sharing). Although, if Eric had it his way, he would eat all the snacks he could get his hooves on, but he’s not allowed as he doesn’t know when to stop!

Now Eric awaits the arrival of spring so he can once again get back to relaxing in the sun (Eric with one leg out means ultimate chill time), enjoy exploring and bouncing around the lush grassy fields.

Only good vibes when around Eric!
